Burquitlam
Millennium Line
Evergreen Extension
Burquitlam is the first stop on the Evergreen Extension after Millennium Line trains leave the original Millennium Line after stopping at Production Way-University. The station is a simple elevated station on a concrete guideway with two side platforms for the two-track line. The platforms are fully canopied with the canopies containing a faux-wood bottom and glass windscreens throughout (including at the emergency exit doors at the platform ends).
To leave the platforms there is a single elevator at the extreme southern end of each platform, followed by a single bank of two escalators with a staircase in between just to the north of each elevator, these lead down to a small entrance area at street level with a free crossunder. Faregates are located basically directly under the southern end of each platform, from here a glass wall is straight ahead before there are exits on each side. To the west leads out to the sidewalk of Clark Road that is a bus only lane containing various bus bays that run under the edge of the station platform. To the east leads out to additional bus bays that form a pedestrian island for transferring bus passengers that the entire station is above. This bus bays to the southeast of the station are a bus only roadway with a fence (and gaps with crosswalks beyond each end of the elevated structure above) leading to the non-transit use parking lot of Burquiltam Plaza, an outlet mall/strip mall.
A sculpture Burquitlam: Between & Beyond hangs over the mezzanine these are silver octagonal circles with bicycle gears inside.
