Braid is a Bus Loop Millennium Line Station with two side platforms that have a wooden slanted roof over the both tracks, the entire station. There is a single staircase/up escalator plus an elevator down from each platform to a lobby area that leads directly out to a large bus loop. In the immediate vicinity of the station is a vacant lot but a few blocks away are numerous houses.

In 2016, just before the opening of the Evergreen Extension, the line became a station on the Expo Line's new branch to Production Way–University taking over service at this station from the Millennium Line. Due to capacity contraints at Production Way-University, roughly every other Expo Line train that has deviated off the main line terminates here (6 minute service), with continuing service to Production Way-University only every 12 minutes throughout the service day.
