In the morning Amtrak has a special check in desk for an agent to go over passport and other document information for passengers taking the Maple Leave or Adirondack across the Canadian boarder to Toronto or Montreal

The United ticket office, I was actually trying to check in here for on a Basic Ecnonomy ticket without any bags (which requires a ticket agent to verify you only have a small backpack) but found the office closed for lunch
