Hazard Center is another station which serves a shopping center across Hazard Center Drive north of the station and some new transit oriented development houses on the south side of the station along the San Diego River. The station has the required two side platforms just south of Hazard Center Drive which begin just west of the grade crossing into the housing development. The platforms each have two blue standard bus stop type shelters, typical of these stations and the north Old Town-bound platform even has a shopping cart carrell for shoppers in the center. The non-train edge of this platform is a fence to keep people off of Hazard Center Drive. The Old Town-bound platform runs along a wall along the northern side of the housing development which includes a few gates for residents to reach their homes.
