Mission Valley Center Station serves another transit oriented development and lacks parking (there is even a No Parking logo at a station entrance sign). The stop has two side platforms each with two blue enlarged bus shelter canopy structures. The main station entrance is along the Santee-bound platform and is a plaza between the two buildings of the Park Valley Center. This is a strip-mall development and divides the station from its standard mall (parking for customers only) parking lot. Each end of the Old Town-bound platform provides access to the bike path along the southern side of the San Diego River that the light rail line is following here and crosses at each end of this station (and four times in total).
