Pleasant Plains is a simple elevated Staten Island Railway station with two side platforms for the two-track line. These platforms each have a single tiny, canopied section (that’s closer in size to just a shelter) at their southern-ends with glass-block windscreens holding up an orange-red canopy structure. Attached to these canopies leading down from each platform is a single covered staircase that is the only entrance. These each lead down to paths to the west side of Amboy Road. These paths are relatively long at 120 feet from the St. George-bound platform, and 200 feet from the Tottenville-bound platform.
