Lake-Cook Road (also called Lake Cook Rd. or just Lake-Cook Station) is the second Milwaukee North Station in Deerfield, Illinois. It's a modern station serving a number of nearby big box stores and suburban office parks. The station also has a PACE Bus loop which primarily has service from 6 rush hours Shuttle Bug Routes designed to get (reverse) commuters from trains to their suburban office park jobs. Pace Route 626, the Skokie Valley Limited runs from the station all the way to the Skokie-Dempster Yellow Line Station. The station shares an entrance and parking lot (spaces are designated for each other) with a Home Depot and a few other stores. Metra and Pace are listed on the shopping plaza signs at the station entrances and if they are stores and not transportation services
The station has two low-level side platforms which begin above the underpass of Lake Cook Road and run south. The northern ends of the platforms have sidewalks to two different suburban office parks on each side of the railroad. Other than the sidewalk on the south side of Lake Cook Road ending at the Outbound platform, there is no other station access on the outbound side. The Inbound side contains the station's modern cream-colored with orange trim station house. Inside the building is a ticket office open for one weekday mornings shift and waiting room. There is also a Jimmy John's (with some amusing parking for customers only signs on it's designated spaces) and a Chaube Coffee. The station's bus loop is just north of this and has 3 bays and a shelter for bus passengers in a similar style to the depot. All vehicle access to the station is from the traffic light at Deer Lake Road and Lake Cook Road that ends by curving past the Home Depot and to the station area.
