Beyer Boulevard is a simple original San Diego Trolley Station. The ground-level platforms with concrete across both tracks and tactile warning strips on each side begins just north of Seaward Avenue's grade crossing. The northbound platform has the single large brown canopy structure with a few benches beneath and leads out to a 131 space park & ride lot with Beyer Blvd beyond. The southbound platform has two red metal bus-stop like shelters with benches beneath (probably added after the station was built) and a ramp at its northern end (there are walkways from both platforms to the grade crossing of Seaward Avenue) down to where Cottonwood Road Curves onto Vista Avenue south of the station.
Station Rebuilding: The station was rebuilt, passengers used a temporary platform, from January 20, 2015 through June 17, 2015. The new station has the standard renewed Blue Line station layout, with modern 6 inch high platforms. The track area is now normal ballast with 4 pedestrian crossings, 2 at each end of the platform that are step free, and two in the middle of the platform. Two larger cream colored canopy structures on each platform provide more shade than the previous canopies.Photos 1-13 taken on 22 March, 2011; 14: 28 December, 2019
