Firestone is one of the three elevated blue line stations located where both the blue line and the two freight tracks that run alongside rise up onto an overpass. Here it is to cross above Firestone Blvd. The rail station has a single island platform that is canopied for its entire length. The middle of the platform is open allowing views to the entrance area below. This is along the western sidewalk of Graham Avenue just east of the train tracks here, with the northern end of the platform just above the southern end of the intersection with Firestone Blvd. Two staircases and an elevator at the southern end lead down to the street. Since my visit turnstiles have been installed with individual white fenced areas surrounding each of the staircases. The pillars holding up the guideway at street-level have been decorated with mosaic abstract murals of people holding up the guideway called El Deseo de Progresar/The Will to Progress by Ricardo Mendoza.
