DeKalb Avenue is a typical 14th Street-Canarsie Line local stop with two side platforms. The station has the typical intricate trim of the Canarsie line, with an emphasis on yellows/browns as the main color of the trim and blues and greens for the border. There are D's in the trim for DeKalb at various intervals.
The station has two exits, the main exit beyond the western end of the platforms, with the platforms ending at a single staircase with a small mezzanine typical of underground BMT stations with a crossover. There are four streetstairs with one each up to each corner of DeKalb Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue.
There is a secondary high exit/entrance turnstiles entrance directly on each side platform with small mosaics saying To Stanhope Street. From the Manhattan-bound platform are streetstairs up to the NE and NW corners, Canarsie-bound platform, SE and SW corners of Wyckoff Avenue and Stanhope Street.
