Eliot is a 'D' Line suburban station and has two concrete side platforms with just a yellow line and no accessible boarding features. The only platform amenities are on the inbound platform with both a green bus shelter like enclosure plus the recently installed Charlie enclosure for the TVMs. Access is from a small 55 space parking lot (weekday availability less than 1%) along the outbound platform whose entrance is from the end of Lincoln Street. The inbound platform has an entrance from the end of Meredith Avenue where it becomes Canterbury Road. Just inbound from the station the track crosses Boylston Street, here a divided boluevard with fencing prohibited pedestrian jaywalking across. The end of the outbound platform has a steep ramp, with the inbound platform a staircase from the northside of Boylston Street. A bridge (completed in 1977 as the a concrete beam is engraved) connects from the end of the inbound platform across to the southside of Boylston Street.
