Wellesley Hills is a non-accessible Worchester-Framingham Station. The station contains a still standing historic Richardson Romanesque stone station house that was built in 1886. This station house presently contains (as of Fall 2024) Cafe Nero, a coffee shop.
The station depot leads out to a completely low-level platform along the Inbound track. Directly along the Inbound platform in front of the station house is a single wooden pedestrian crossing (with no crossing lights or bells) that provides the only access to the Outbound track’s side platform. The Outbound platform is completely bare of any amenities except for a few Wellesley Station signs and a trash bin. This platform is built into a hillside with trees towering above it and a low concrete retaining wall.
The Outbound platform is also quite offset from the Inbound platform, who’s western end is front of the station house, while the pedestrian crossing is nearly at the Outbound platform’s eastern end.
The rest of the Inbound platform leads out to a triangular shaped small Park & Ride lot with just 56 spaces, south of the depot. This lot is wedged along Washington Street that the railroad curves away from at the station. At nearly the northern end of the platform is the overpass bridge of Cliff Road, along the outbound side of the station, this bridge is supported by the steep terrain above the Outbound. Track. A short staircase (with a neat old fashioned green railing) leads down to a short path along a parking lot before arriving at another short wooden staircase down to the end of this platform.
