Lincoln Harbor was first terminus of the northern extension of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and it opened on September 7, 2004. Trains were originally shuttles from here to Hoboken Terminal running every 15 minutes. Trains discharged passengers at the station before continuing beyond the station to a lay-up track (that still exists) beyond the station where trains reversed. On October 29, 2005 Shuttle Trains were extended on weekends only north to Port Imperial. Febrauary 11, 2006 saw West Side Avenue trains extended to the station and on February 25, 2006 the station become simply an intermediate stop with the opening of the Weehawken Tunnel. The station is located in southern Weehawken and just north of the station trains cross beneath the trestle that holds up a curve (that overhangs the Palisades) of the Lincoln Center Helix. South of the station trains curve around and get back near the Hudson River (as Hoboken ends and the Pallisades head closer to the the shore).
The station has a single island platform with a single blue canopy in the middle of it, a ramp leads down to a pedestrian grade crossing at the northern end of the platform. On the east side of the tracks the sidewalk leads to a TVM in a shelter before continuing to Waterfront Terrace and Parking lots. To the west it leads to a driveway along an industrial building whose purpose I do not know. There is a landscaping between the platform and driveway. Here are statues on silver pedestrians that are designed to be bird sanctuaries.
