Jersey Avenue is a HBLR station at the extreme southern end of redevelopment in downtown Jersey City. It is definitely the last station before stops become further apart and trains enter the older residential areas of Jersey City and Bayonne. It has an island platform that is along a private ROW, with a parking lot, including Regent Street above the station. Just before the station hits a curve to follow Jersey Avenue briefly as they meander their way around I-78 to get to the next stop Liberty State Park. The platform is a bit set back form the street so the station isn't on a curve, with one walkway form the end of the platform crossing the Bayonne-bound track before running straight back to Jersey Avenue, parallel to Regent Street and the other crosses the Hoboken-bound track before fallowing the curve of the tracks and continuing as the sidewalk along Jersey Avenue.
Artwork: All Art at the station is by Fred Wilson, who created platform mosaics that look like the periodic table, fencing that depicts pictures of elements and windscreens of nature. This is in response to the Jersey City Medical Center across the street.

The main entrance from the street to Jersey Avenue, it has a bit of a plaza with a Jersey Avenue Station sign. The tracks curving to fallow Jersey Avenue (the reason the station's platform are so far back from the street) is visible in the background.
Walking down the sidewalk in what is a bit of a construction area to approach the rail platform at Jersey Avenue. There is a sign for Morris Canal, that is now defunct, the rail line fallows it on and off south to Bayonne.
About to cross the tracks and go up the short ramp to the platform at Jersey Avenue.
Public art at the end of the fence that is down the ramp from the mini-high platform before crossing the tracks at Jersey Avenue.
Looking down the platform at Jersey Avenue, by its sheltered portion. There is a mosaic in the platform floor, an information sign structure is also visible with a system map in it.
Another view down the island platform at Jersey Avenue construction projects are visible off in the distance. As well as the rest of the platform.
The eastern end of the platform at Jersey Avenue, its just lampposts and a bench, mosaics engraved in the platform's floor
Almost at the extreme end of the platform at Jersey Avenue, a ticket validater is visible as well as one of Jersey City's larger towers.
A close up of mosaics on the floor of the platform at Jersey Avenue.
A view back from the area that is sheltered to the station's unusual exit at Jersey Avenue.
