Foster is a Purple Line Station with a single island platform that has a canopy for its entire length. On the platform are some murals, and a few windscreens. The station exit is at the extreme southern end of the platform where just two turnstiles lead into a tiny station house with plexiglass walls. Just beyond the turnstiles is the former cashier's booth painted purple. A FVM is just beyond it. It leads down to an enclosed staircase (with plexiglass windows in places) to an intermediate landing that switchbacks into two parallel staircases that lead down to a little plaza just south of Foster Street that leads to a walkway to the street itself.
