Sedgwick is a brown line station with one entrance along the West Side of Sedgwick Street. Here there is the facade of the 1900 station house with a brown exterior and three sets of wooden doors. The station was closed from January 29, 2007 to November 12, 2007 with passengers entering via a temporary entrance at Hudson Street at the extreme western end of the platforms. This is now just an emergency exit. Inside the station house are the AVMs and the turnstiles before passengers reach an entrance area to the platform that lacks full walls with just mesh on the sides, but Time is the Enemy (Revisited) by Carlos 'Dzine' Rolon is a colorful mural that faces the turnstiles. There is than a staircase and an elevator up to each of the wooden side platforms at about their midpoints. By the entrances is where the canopies on each platform have been restored covering about three cars with the rest of the new 8 car platforms left exposed to the elements with the modern silver railings and lampposts.
