Nassau St-Jamaica Av Local (Except Peak Direction Rush Hours)<Chauncey St
Chauncey Street is a typical Broadway (Brooklyn) elevated renovated local station. It has two side platforms with the middle express track not used in normal service bypassing it. It is currently a 'Z' Skip-Stop station, with J trains bypassing it in peak direction rush hours.
The station has one exit, with two staircases down to the street (on either side of Broadway), these are not at the namesake Street, but Rockaway Avenue, one the eastern end of the platforms with a small station house below the tracks. Streetstairs lead down to the NE corner of Broadway and Cooper Street, and SW corner directly across from Cooper Street (the street changes names in the intersection) at the SW corner of Broadway and Rockaway Avenue.
There are also emergency exits from each platform at the western end of the platforms that are closer to Chauncey St, with closed staircases down to each side of Broadway midblock between Chauncey Street and Piling Street/Marion Street (these streets end at nearby offset T-intersections with Broadway).
