Seabrook is the least used station on the core of the Penn Line between Washington, DC and Martin State Airport/Baltimore. Therefore, many weekday trains skip the station. The station also has never had service on weekends since MARC began weekend service on the Penn Line in late 2013.

The station consists of two slightly-offset (the Baltimore-bound platform is north of the Washington-bound platform) three-car long high-level side platforms. These platforms were built in the 1980s during a grade-crossing elimination project. This project spit Seabrook Road into two. The station wasn't brand new as passengers used to board trains by the Seabrook Road grade-crossing.

The amenities for waiting passengers are entirely extra-long bus shelters. The metalwork of these shelters is blue. The Washington-bound platform has two long 15 pane-wide shelters. The Baltimore-bound platform has a single six pane-long shelter. All three shelters contain built in benches but only windscreens on 3 sides (no forth windscreen along the platform-side.

The simple platforms are directly connected by a tunnel between the platforms. This tunnel curved cylindrical walls containing staircases directly up to each platform. There are also ramps that switchback their ways up to street-level fully exposed to the elements. These ramps arrive at street level between the platform and parking lot beyond.

Other than the direct staircase down to the pedestrian tunnel, access to each platform is via a ramp (separate from the ramp down to the pedestrian tunnel) and single staircase (6 down from the Washington-bound platform, 9 down from the Baltimore-bound platform) down to the parking lot below each platform. The station has 264 free parking spaces spread among lots on both sides of the station. The lot along the Baltimore-bound side is long and angular leading back to Smith Avenue. The Washington-bound parking lot is more square with an entrance from Lanham Severn Road (that lacks sidewalks).
